MEET THE ARTIST

Jerry L. Lewis was born and raised in Shaker Heights, Ohio, graduated from Ohio University with a BFA, and received his Master’s Degree from Arizona State University. He was a teacher of art in Cleveland, Ohio, Phoenix, Arizona and taught painting and drawing, art history, and architectural drafting at Grossmont High School in La Mesa, California for thirty years.

His work has been exhibited in the San Diego Art Institute, the San Diego Museum of Art Annual Juried Show, and Southwest Magazine. Read More »

Every time I paint the desert I can’t help thinking about Bobby. His idea of enjoying the desert was zipping down the highway toward Tucson, doing 75, “Old Blue Eyes” crooning a tune, with the air conditioning humming right along. Too bad he never took the time to stop and enjoy the tranquil settings that the desert has to offer. Oh well, at least he’s listening to Frank!
